Prayer Ideas and Suggestions
|
Pray for friends, family members, or church members who may be experiencing economic hardship during these difficult days. Buy some groceries and drop them off at their place after school/work together with a kind word and a prayer.
Think of people who have lost their jobs, pray for them, and give them a call of encouragement.
Use your break, lunch time, or recess to go for a Prayer Walk in a quiet place, park. Take time to talk to God and then take some time to listen to Him reply.
If you are in a very busy area with lots of traffic and people, and it is difficult to find a quite place. You may go out in the neighborhood and prayer walk for the residents in the buildings and the employer and employees in the business around you.
Invite a few of your Christian co-workers or school mates to have a brief prayer group during break, recess, or lunch time.
Create a Prayer List and keep it with you all day, pray for the people and requests in your list. Keep the list and continue to pray for it till God answers, cross out the requests that have been answer and share a testimony with others.
Look at your Friends’ List on your Facebook Account, MySpace Account, pray for your friends and E-mail them, letting them know you are praying for them.
Scroll down your Contacts in your cell phone and Pray for those who need Jesus most on this day, call them or text them, pray with them or write a Text Prayer and share it with them.
Pick some Promises from the Bible and keep them close to you while you pray. Take time to share the promises with someone during the day.
Collect some beautiful promises from the Bible and text them to friends in need (Christians and non-Christians alike).
Identify someone who is ill, call them, explain James 5:13-16, let them know that if God so chooses they could be healed, and offer to come to their home with your pastor and Elder, so they can be anointed.
Pray for the individuals in our country’s outgoing leadership and its incoming leadership.
