Quinn Norwood Sleeps till Resurrection Day.
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Quinn Norwood
I write this message to you with great sadness. It’s a very sad moment for me and for the Greater New York Conference. Just a few minutes ago I heard the sad news that Quinn Norwood, a young man who had been a long time member of the Grand Concourse Seventh-day Adventist Church, here in Greater New York has passed away.

Quinn was presently studying theology at Oakwood College. He had recently transferred his membership to the Ephesus Seventh-day Adventist Church. He was well known throughout our Churches in New York, and a member of the Youth Preachers’ Core Ministry.

I would like to request that in the midst of this very sad time, each Teen, Youth, Young Adult, Adventurer, Pathfinder, and Master Guide at every one of our Greater New York churches, takes a special time to pray for Quinn’s family, friends, and the church families at Grand Concourse and Ephesus. I would like to request that AY Societies, Teens Clubs, and Young Adult Small Groups, meeting throughout this weekend hold 1 minute of silence, in honor and remembrance of Quinn Norwood, as well as a moment of prayer, for those of us suffering, during the service. God is the only one who can bring comfort, healing, and hope at this difficult time.

Quinn Norwood
As we receive more information from family members, the Area AY Coordinators, and church leaders, I will make sure that I pass it on to you, so we may respond to the loss of the Norwood family with lots of support and love.

I would like to assure you, the news of Quinn’s passing are sad but they are not final. We cry, but we cry with the hope. “We have a hope that burns within our hearts, hope in the coming of the Lord…” On that day, death will die, and those who have passed away, in the Lord, will wake up to enjoy abundant life, forever. On that day we will see Quinn brand new, very handsome, and happy… and he will stay that way for ever.

Share I Thessalonians 4:13-18 with your Sabbath School Class, Youth Group, AY Society, and Church this weekend and affirm your young people and adults in the hope of the Second Coming.

With Love and lots of hope in Jesus,

Pastor Jose
