Jesus: Unique in His Life & Teachings

It is no accident that the man who most influenced human history for good also lived the most extraordinary life in history. Every Christmas, millions and billions of Christians and non-Christians celebrate His birth and talk about the most strange feature of the birth: His mother was a virgin.

Jesus’ holy life also sets Him apart from anyone else. His enemies could not find a fault in Him. In all human history, only one man who claimed to be perfect has ever been taken seriously by both His friends and His enemies. Jesus never had to apologize or ask for forgiveness. He is unique, He never sinned. He is the one who said: “Love your enemies,” He also said: “Pray for those who spitefully use you” and “Give, and it shall be given to you.” Most historians agree that this world would be a better place if everyone followed the teachings of the Nazarene.

Jesus Christ is the most discussed, debated, and scrutinized person who has ever lived on this earth. After twenty centuries, He has more defenders and opponents than any other figure on earth. Millions of academicians with the highest degrees willingly confess Him as Savior and Lord; while millions of others, with the same qualifications, would like to destroy His credibility. From the very beginning, He had both followers and detractors.

After living an exemplary life, with miracles which proved His authority over sickness and death; showing that He had the power of God within Him, He gave Himself. He gave himself sacrificially for the sins of the world, your sins and my sins. Then He went on to perform the greatest of all His miracles, He rose from the dead. This event plus the promise of His Second Coming to this earth to save those who await Him and to wake up those who died with the hope of a resurrection, set Him apart as the most extraordinary person who ever lived.

The Big Question is: Who was Jesus of Nazareth? If He was merely a remarkable carpenter born in an obscure country, even the sharpest of skeptical minds has trouble explaining why, of all the brilliant people who ever lived, Jesus remains in a category by Himself. Isaac Newton, one of the most brilliant scientists; Blaise Pascal, one of the world’s greatest philosophers; William Gladstone, Louis Pasteur and many other thousands of scholars, scientists, jurists, and authors, as well as millions of ordinary people, have studied Jesus, His life and teachings, have examined both sides of the evidence and have come to the conclusion that Jesus is the Son of God, unique from all who have ever lived.
